NHS Treatment Charges
After your dental examination, our receptionist will explain your written estimate/treatment plan for the agreed course of treatment. The NHS charges are set by the government and are displayed in reception.
- Band 1 – £27.40 (examination, diagnosis, X-rays, scale & polish if needed)
- Band 2 – £75.30 (everything in Band 1, plus fillings, extractions, root canal)
- Band 3 – £326.70 (everything in Bands 1 & 2, plus crowns, dentures, bridges)
Do You Qualify for Free NHS Dental Treatment?
You may be surprised to find that you qualify for free NHS dental treatment. In fact, if you fall into any of the following categories, you will automatically receive free treatment:
- Under 18 years of age
- 18 and in full time education
- Nursing or pregnant mums
- Receiving Income Support or Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Receiving Income Related Employment & Support Allowance
- Receiving Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Receiving Universal Credit
- Named on a valid HC2 certificate
- Named on an NHS Tax Credit Exemption Card
Need Help With Treatment Costs?
If you are on a low income and feel you need help with your treatment costs, our receptionist will be happy to provide you with an HC1 form to complete. Furthermore, this form can help reduce the cost of your dental treatment significantly.
Paying for Your Treatment
For all courses of treatment, whether NHS or private, we may request full payment of charges prior to the commencement of treatment. However, we make payment as straightforward as possible — you can pay by cash, debit card or credit card at any of our practices.
We kindly ask that you give at least one day’s notice whenever possible if you need to cancel your appointment. As a result, your appointment time can be offered to another patient who may be in pain. Please note that patients who miss two appointments without cancelling may not be seen again at this practice. Therefore, please help us to fight wasted appointments

Becoming a member is quick and simple. You can set up your monthly Direct Debit payment at reception or by getting in touch with the practice. Furthermore, an £8 registration fee will be collected with your first month’s payment.
Global Dental A & E Scheme
Our dental plans include access to a Global Dental Accident & Emergency Scheme. The Scheme is established to offer support to patients who request assistance or treatment following an accident, a dental emergency or are diagnosed with mouth cancer.
Whilst the scheme aims to provide benefits in most cases, the scheme is a wholly discretionary scheme, not an insurance scheme. It has no obligation to provide benefits and the Scheme Manager will look at each request individually to decide whether or not to provide benefits.
